Tteokbokki - The Popular food of Korea with chef Ye Joo


Hello, I'm YeJoo. DO you know about Tteokbokki? Teokbokki is made with rice cake, red pepper sauce, fish cake, or some cheese and green onion. its texture is chewy and the taste is spicy. The origin of tteokbokki is from the Joseon dynasty. While the modern one is red and has a spicy tastes, the original Tteokbokki is brown and plain. It is calle goongjung Tteokbokki. Before, it was eaten only for the palace, but now we can eat and see it everywhere. But, it doesn't have any special meaning because it is so common to people.
